There’s something really special about the lower lot at Universal. If you have ever been to Universal Studios before you probably know that the park itself has a really special area called the lower lot. I am here to tell you all about this hidden gem and why it really needs to be on your must-see list. Believe me, you don’t want to miss it!
My Favourite Adventure
When I first set foot onto the lower lot Universal, I could hardly believe my eyes! The lower lot is where all the magic happens and it’s so much more than I expected. From thrilling rides to truly impressive shows, I feel as if each time I visit there’s something new and exciting to experience every time.
When I step down the stairs (or get on the world-famous escalator), I’m instantly enveloped in an energy I find hard to describe. The atmosphere is fantastic and I really love how it feels as though I’m moving into a completely different world. This is the place where you’ll find some of the most popular attractions that’ll really get your heart racing.
Paradise
One of the greatest things about the lower lot Universal is the attractions themselves. I’m talking about the rides that really make my heart pound and my hands sweat. Seriously, if you’re into the thrill of it all, this is the place to be!
First off, let’s mention the Jurassic World – The Ride. I remember the very first time I went on this and my heart was excited. It’s not merely a ride; it’s an adventure itself! You’ll be completely surrounded by those gigantic dinosaurs and even come face to face with a massive T. rex. It’s honestly one of my very favourite things to do when I’m at the lower lot Universal.
Then there’s the Revenge of the Mummy – The Ride. I have lost count of how many times I’ve actually been on this rollercoaster. It’s super fast, it’s in the dark and there are loads of surprises. I really can’t get enough of the twists and turns and the special effects are absolutely insane!
For the really brave visitors, there is Transformers: The Ride 3D. I am a huge fan of the Transformers movies and being able to interact with Optimus Prime and Bumblebee in 3D is literally an amazing experience. The action feels so real and it’s the perfect ride for fans of the movies themselves.
Food for your mind
After all that excitement, you’ll want a snack or a meal, won’t you? Fortunately, the lower lot Universal has a lot of fantastic food options all ready for you to try. My absolute top spot is the Jurassic Café. I mean who wouldn’t want to grab a bite surrounded by massive, lifelike dinosaurs? It’s not just about the food itself though. The environment is really very immersive and I truly love it.
I also suggest the Pizza and Pasta spot. The pizza is always freshly made and the pasta is rich and creamy. It’s the perfect thing to have while resting up for the next adventure itself.
If you happen to be in the mood for something sweet then you have got to stop by the Ice Cream Parlor. They have a selection of the best flavors and the sundaes are just to die for. Trust me, you won’t leave the lower lot Universal hungry!
Shopping
I have always had a bit of a weakness for Universal Studios merchandise and the lower lot Universal has some of the coolest shops themselves. If you love your own souvenirs, this is definitely the place to be.
My top store is The Universal Studio Store. I can always find something really special whether it’s a new Jurassic Park shirt or an interesting Transformers toy. I always take something unique and special back with me and it’s as though I’m taking a bit of the park itself home with me.
