Things to do in Bath, England
Bath often has fun activities, so no day feels dull. The Roman Baths are truly one of my absolute favorite things to do. The Roman Baths are quite old and allow visitors to imagine life long ago. It feels incredible. I imagine what life was like for the Romans themselves in the baths.
Bath Abbey is another place you should absolutely see. Its extremely tall towers always leave an impression on me. The inside of the Abbey is really beautiful, too. It feels peaceful and nice.
Individuals who genuinely appreciate art and history should head to the Victoria Trade Gallery. The museum itself is a bit small, but it shows some truly excellent art pieces. The gallery is a good idea in the afternoon – even on a cold day.
I love every moment spent in Bath. There are loads of things to do in Bath – shopping or just sitting in a café. Walking close to the Royal Crescent itself is a favorite pastime of mine. The Royal Crescent is itself extremely famous and worth visiting. The old Georgian houses are themselves quite beautiful, and the lawn is a good place for a picnic. It really makes you feel like you’re right back in time.
Pulteney Bridge offers a unique experience if you walk over it. Loads of people actually take photographs at this bridge, and it’s pretty clear why. The arches actually cross over the River Avon and look amazing. I always stop to take some photographs and simply enjoy the view myself, too.
Boat stints along the river show Bath itself from a completely new perspective. The city by the river feels calm and fun. You actually learn a lot about the history while on the boat.
Christmas in Bath, England
Christmas in Bath itself really does feel almost magical. The city changes itself a lot with all sorts of lights and decorations. Christmas markets are lively and full of the most wonderful gifts. Markets have loads of gifts, as well as food and hot drinks for absolutely everyone. The lights and decorations do make the city look both happy and very bright.
Actually, the Bath Christmas Market is truly my absolute favorite part of the whole Christmas period. The market itself has a lovely sense of excitement and is absolutely great for the perfect gifts. The market itself really does feel fun and actually quite cheerful. The smells of wine and cinnamon are the real highlights of the holiday period.
Bath Abbey at Christmas is very special. The lights themselves make the Abbey look absolutely amazing, and the Christmas burrows themselves feel magical. The whole experience shows the real magic of the holiday period perfectly.
My faves
Bath itself has loads of places where you can get some good food. Sally Lunn’s Historic Eating House is actually a good idea to try out. The building is really old, and its prime buns are popular. The bun itself is big, it’s tasty, and it goes well with a cup of tea. This makes for the perfect snack for an afternoon.
The Circus Restaurant is a good choice for lunch or indeed for dinner. The food tastes amazing, and the place itself feels so comfortable. The menu changes with the seasons, and the meals themselves are always top quality. This restaurant is one of my absolute favorites in the whole of Bath.
Things to do with kids in Bath
Families will actually find loads of fun activities to do in the whole of Bath itself. Bath City Farm is a fun place for your little ones. Kids can have loads of fun with the animals, plants, and fresh air. The farm is located close to the city – easy to visit, and it’s really lovely.

When I first set foot onto the lower lot Universal, I could hardly believe my eyes! The lower lot is where all the magic happens and it’s so much more than I expected. From thrilling rides to truly impressive shows, I feel as if each time I visit there’s something new and exciting to experience every time.
When I step down the stairs (or get on the world-famous escalator), I’m instantly enveloped in an energy I find hard to describe. The atmosphere is fantastic and I really love how it feels as though I’m moving into a completely different world. This is the place where you’ll find some of the most popular attractions that’ll really get your heart racing.
Paradise
One of the greatest things about the lower lot Universal is the attractions themselves. I’m talking about the rides that really make my heart pound and my hands sweat. Seriously, if you’re into the thrill of it all, this is the place to be!
First off, let’s mention the Jurassic World – The Ride. I remember the very first time I went on this and my heart was excited. It’s not merely a ride; it’s an adventure itself! You’ll be completely surrounded by those gigantic dinosaurs and even come face to face with a massive T. rex. It’s honestly one of my very favourite things to do when I’m at the lower lot Universal.
Then there’s the Revenge of the Mummy – The Ride. I have lost count of how many times I’ve actually been on this rollercoaster. It’s super fast, it’s in the dark and there are loads of surprises. I really can’t get enough of the twists and turns and the special effects are absolutely insane!
For the really brave visitors, there is Transformers: The Ride 3D. I am a huge fan of the Transformers movies and being able to interact with Optimus Prime and Bumblebee in 3D is literally an amazing experience. The action feels so real and it’s the perfect ride for fans of the movies themselves.
Food for your mind
After all that excitement, you’ll want a snack or a meal, won’t you? Fortunately, the lower lot Universal has a lot of fantastic food options all ready for you to try. My absolute top spot is the Jurassic Café. I mean who wouldn’t want to grab a bite surrounded by massive, lifelike dinosaurs? It’s not just about the food itself though. The environment is really very immersive and I truly love it.
I also suggest the Pizza and Pasta spot. The pizza is always freshly made and the pasta is rich and creamy. It’s the perfect thing to have while resting up for the next adventure itself.
If you happen to be in the mood for something sweet then you have got to stop by the Ice Cream Parlor. They have a selection of the best flavors and the sundaes are just to die for. Trust me, you won’t leave the lower lot Universal hungry!
Shopping
I have always had a bit of a weakness for Universal Studios merchandise and the lower lot Universal has some of the coolest shops themselves. If you love your own souvenirs, this is definitely the place to be.
My top store is The Universal Studio Store. I can always find something really special whether it’s a new Jurassic Park shirt or an interesting Transformers toy. I always take something unique and special back with me and it’s as though I’m taking a bit of the park itself home with me.

The Most Exciting
I’ve been on quite a few roller coasters and I have to say that a few of them stand out. They are not just fun – they are exhilarating in a way that makes me really want to get right back in line again and again! Steel Vengeance at Cedar Point is unforgettable. The airtime and the crazy twists made me scream out in excitement! That drop is going to blow your mind, and the speed when you start is amazing!
Another one I really can’t forget is the Fury 325 at Carowinds. This ride is massive! It is the world’s tallest giga coaster and the first time I rode it I was literally speechless. The speed is unbelievable and it really feels like you’re flying. Every moment of the ride felt like it was a dream come true. The smoothness and those huge drops left me breathless!
These two coasters are at the top of my list, but wait – there are many more fantastic rides to talk about too!
The Funnest
Now let’s focus on fun. When I go to amusement parks my goal is fun itself, and these coasters deliver a real treat. The Millennium Force, also located at Cedar Point, is a ride that I really have to recommend. It’s packed full of super-fast drops and smooth turns that give it that “you will fly off the track” feel. Every twist feels as if it comes from out of nowhere – which is why I always have an amazing time on it.
Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios is unforgettable. You can truly enjoy the thrill of your favorite music! You can actually select your preferred music that will be played while you’re whizzing around – which makes it truly awesome. The very first time I got on it I chose a tune that really got me pumped up – and it really added to the thrills of the ride.
It is all about that adrenaline rush and the sheer joy they bring. I adore roller coasters that actually make me feel like I am flying – with twists, turns and those unexpected drops. I go back again and again! But there’s more to it. The fun factor itself!
Each coaster has its own individual thrill whether it’s speed, drops or the amazing music itself. I have found that the most exciting roller coasters aren’t just thrilling – they really make me smile and scream out in excitement as well.
