If you’re a fan of Harry Potter and you love Christmas, then there’s no better place to be than the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando!
What to expect
During the holiday season, the already magical theme park gets an extra special makeover with snow on the rooftops, twinkling lights, and the smell of mulled wine in the air – it really is amazing.
1) Holiday Magic makes this such a special place during the festive period. Christmas carols from the movies play throughout both Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley while all your favourite alternate treats are on sale. As well as regular butterbeer, there’s also hot butterbeer to warm you up, and why not try a Christmas pudding? For presents, don’t forget to stop off at one of the many shops selling everything from wands and robes to chocolate frogs!
2) Orlando vs Hollywood? If you’re a fan of Harry Potter and love Christmas, do give this a try – we promise you won’t regret it! Both are great, but if you want a fuller experience, then go for Orlando. There are more rides (Harry Potter, Forbidden Journey, The Flight of the Hippogriff coaster, Diagon Alley).
You can even take the Hogwarts Express between Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure (don’t forget your park-to-park ticket).
What to see
There are lots of things to see and do at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Christmas, but here are three experiences you shouldn’t miss:
This is a beautiful section of lights onto Hogwarts Castle with music – it’s truly special.
The Winter Wonderland at Hogsmeade: walk through this snowy village with all the decorations – it’s like being in a Christmas card! The festive food, Christmas pudding, and Seasonal Butterbeer.
Why visit Orlando? If you’ve ever wanted to live in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, now’s your chance. At Christmas time, everything’s extra special and there are few things better than a festive afternoon in Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley with your family. It’s cozy, it’s beautiful, and above all, it feels very Christmassy indeed! If you’re a fan of Harry Potter and love Christmas, do give this a try – we promise you won’t regret it!
